There is a peace at the center of your being, A peace that can be felt throughout the day and in the evening;
When you have turned from your labor and the first star shines in the soft light of the sky; It moves over the Earth, quietly, tenderly, as a mother watches over her child.
- Ernest Holmes |
What is affirmative prayer?
To pray affirmatively is to “pray believing”, fostering a readiness to receive that which we are praying for. To pray believing involves being specific, personal and positive, speaking in the present tense. In so doing, we align our thinking and feeling nature with infinite possibilities. As we do this, truly anything is possible.
Why have someone pray for me?
Often we are moved to pray when something appears not to be going well for us. At these times it can be difficult to “pray believing” for ourselves. A licensed practitioner offers both the benefit of his or her training and the ability to be clear about the Truth of others by not knowing their history – the details of their stories.
What is a licensed practitioner?
A licensed practitioner studies for a number of years, completes an internship and sits before a panel to be licensed in the art and practice of affirmative prayer. Licenses are maintained through an annual or bi-annual renewal process, with either International or United Centers for Spiritual Living.
